Part of the Sydney Harbour National Park, North Head stands boldly at the entrance of the ocean to Sydney’s Port Jackson (aka Sydney Harbour). On the other side of the entrance is also another scenic spot, South Head.
Technically, Sydney Harbour is only the middle part of Port Jackson, near Sydney Cove. However, most Sydney-siders consider the whole body of water, Sydney Harbour.
There is a lot to see at North Head. Besides grand views of Sydney Harbour and the City, there are the sweeping panoramas of this part of the Sydney and NSW Coastline. It has, like many other parts of the park, been restored with native plants and trees.
