Ceduna is the last major town before the Nullabor Plains, which head west into Western Australia. The town is popular with whale watchers, as there are plenty of opportunities to spot them on their migratory journeys, especially around June to October.
The Great Southern Ocean also provides good surf the year round and nearby surf spots are popular with surfers from all over Australia as well as other parts of the world.
Eyre Peninsula, to the east, has plenty of chances to spot Australian wildlife, such as Emus, Wallabies and Kangaroos, you can even spot wombats.
