All these beaches are accessible from Sydney Central by car or buses from the city at Wynyard or take the ferry from the city from Manly and then by bus further north.Note the Barrenjoey lighthouse on the headland, you can take the walk to there from here (about 20-30 mins) for the fantastic views of the surrounding waters of the Tasman Sea and the Pittwater. Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is on the east, west Head is on the other side of the waters as well as Lion Island. Covering Up - Sydney has bright sunny days so wear sun-protective clothing, especially between 10am to 3pm. Find a good SPF30+ sunscreen that is water resistant.
