3 Sisters, NSW Blue Mountains

When much older sandstone below the newer layers collapse from the weight above, it forms the steep ridges that characterise the Blue Mountains. The 3 Sisters are natural rock formations produced by this process. There are also wonderful walks near the Three Sisters, either along the ridge with stunning views or amongst the trees in the valleys below.

Indigenous and Nature Tours are available in the Blue Mountains.

Blue Mountains Accommodation: there are places to stay at villages and towns along the way on the Great Western Highway. Blue Mountains accommodation includes quaint Bed & Breakfasts, Hotels, Caravan Parks, Motels and Luxurious Resorts. Other ways to explore the Blue Mountains would be to take a day tour from Sydney City Centre.
