Corner of Dixon and Hay Streets - Gateway to Sydney Chinatown. The centre of Chinatown in Sydney is Dixon Street, but it extends for a number of blocks. Here you can find plenty of shops with all things Asian, good restaurants and a number of bars and pubs. February brings visitors by the thousands for the Chinese New Years Celebrations with Dragons and events.

There are all kinds of little eateries and bakeries to tempt your tastebuds while shopping in Chinatown is good for imported clothes, Asian jewellery and accessories.

Paddys Markets, located next to Chinatown in Haymarket at the west end of Dixon Street, offers all kinds of shopping bargain, a short walk west of Chinatown takes you to Darling Harbour.

In Darling Harbour, The Harbourside is the place to shop for fashion, accessories and Australiana. In the shopping mall there are plenty of restaurants and eateries as well.

Chinatown has a great collection of differing style of Chinese restaurants, but also from other parts of Asia. Enjoy Korean, Thai, Japanese, Malaysian and Cambodian dining, there are others, including Vietnamese and vegetarian.
