Mallacoota Gippsland, Victoria

Looking North. Mallacoota in Gippsland has dramatic scenery - One of the most isolated fishing villages and scenic places in Victoria. Surrounded by Croajingolong National Park, the Mallacoota Inlet has views of the mist covered mountains in the distance, islands and vast wilderness areas.

The many lakes, waterways, islands, beaches, surrounding green forests and hinterlands are waiting to be explored at your leisure. There are some excellent cruises of the wilderness areas on offer, or you can hire a boat for your own fishing expedition or exploration of the many waterways.

Genoa is the last northern outpost of North East Victoria. This small village is situated on the Genoa River, which flows past Mallacoota on the coast. There is good river fishing available at a number of spots around Genoa. See the Map of Gippsland Victoria.

North of the Border

Just north of the border, places to visit on the South Coast of NSW include historical Eden, Ben Boyd National Park, Bega Valley and beautiful Jervis Bay. Further south along the East Victoria Coast on the Princes Highway to Melbourne is Orbost and Lakes Entrance.
