You can spot grey kangaroos feeding in the early morning, goannas, flocks of Rainbow Lorrikeets and White Breasted Sea Eagles. Australian Fur SealsAustralian Fur Seals were almost wiped out here by 1820s by fur sealers but are now protected. Now, they can be spotted in the shallow waters of the inlet. Cann River Victoria Cann River is a popular stopoff point on the Sydney Melbourne Coastal Route, both for its spectacularly beautiful surrounds as its convenience. Cann River is also a gateway to to Croajingolong National Park. The park occupies more than 100kms of pristine coastal wilderness backed by heathlands, pockets of rainforest and dense woodlands. Orbost, south of Mallacoota on the Princes Highway is located on the Snowy River. Some of Australia’s best farmlands are here, farming here started in the 1840s and has continued to flourish.
