Mallacoota Victoria

The small tourist haven of Mallacoota in Victoria is surrounded by the Croajingolong National Park. The park protects the beaches, heathlands, pockets of rainforest and the multitude of fauna and flora that inhabit it.

Croajingolong National Park

Within the park there are ample opportunities for boating, fishing, exploring and picnics in scenic places. Walks available take you past breathtaking scenery.

The park protects native animals, birds, trees and plants, including kangaroos, possums, goannas and wallabies. From its beaches and sandstone headlands, with a bit of luck, you will spot seals, penguins and dolphins, but also whales in their season.

Croajingolong National Park is one of three Biosphere Reserves in Victoria. In the west of the park, deep forests of eucalypts grow, with the lower parts of the valleys occupied by rainforest with tall ferns, orchids and vines.

Gipsy Point
