Photo shows the Entrance to Sydney Harbour. To the right of the ocean outlet is South Head. The Sydney North Head marks the opposite side on the left of the photo. Formed long ago, the last ice age had created a river valley here, when the ice age ended about over 10,000 years ago, the ocean waters came flooding back in.
Both Heads are part of the Sydney Harbour National Park. Watsons Bay is on the south side of South Head.
