Cambewarra Mountain Shoalhaven NSWPhoto: Shoalhaven River and the Ocean. On the way to Kangaroo Valley from Nowra on the Moss Vale Road is the Cambewarra Mountain Lookout. From here there are expansive views of the Shoalhaven Region to the east and south. This view shows Back Forest, near the centre, the Shoalhaven River is to the right. You can get a glimpse of Seven Mile Beach National Park behind the hills, Shoalhaven Heads and Comerong Island with the Comerong Island Nature Reserve at the mouth of the river. At the Cambewarra Lookout, the views allows you to see some 146 kms of the NSW coast. Shoalhaven National ParksSeven Mile Beach National Park is one of a succession of parks and reserves stretching along the South Coast. National Parks within short driving distance from Nowra include Jervis Bay, Booderee, Conjola and Seven Mile Beach, as are numerous reserves such as Long Beach and Currarong Flora Park.Jervis Bay National Park has crystal clear waters, it is not unusual to see dolphins here. The park protects the wetlands and the diverse plant life, birds and animals that inhabit it. There are plenty of signs of early Aboriginal habitation as well. With the numerous walks, excellent swimming, aboriginal heritage and abundant native flora and fauna, the park is an attraction for families. At Huskisson, there are cruises and dive boats available that explore the Jervis Bay Marine Park.Booderee National ParkBooderee National Park, just south of Jervis Bay has the wonderful Booderee Botanical Gardens.
