Inner Sydney Suburbs

For a touch of Asia and plenty of shopping for all things Asian, head to Cabramatta. On the other side of Sydney Harbour, Manly Beach is the start of a long string of beaches stretching northwards.

The Sydney gay community centers around places such as Darlinghurst and Newtown. Glebe as well as Newtown are both near Sydney University, with a thriving arts culture. Kings Cross has a very active night life but is more relaxed during the day.

Sydney Outer Suburbs To Explore

In the outer suburbs of Sydney you can find historical sites relating to the earliest days of the colony of NSW. They also have gardens, parklands and spaces for people to enjoy.

Penrith is at the foot of the Blue Mountains, while in Sutherland you can explore the Royal National Park and wonderful beaches.

The Sydney places mentioned here all have a growing selection of restaurants and al fresco cafés.
