Anglesea Australia - On the Great Ocean Road

Anglesea and Surrounds - A short drive west on the Great Ocean Road from Torquay takes you to Anglesea, a picturesque township on the Surf Coast of Victoria. Nearby there are plenty of native wildlife and flora, including rare orchids and other native wildflowers, especially during spring.

The main surf beach at Anglesea is patrolled, so not only is it good for surfers but also swimmers and body surfers. You can even take surfing lessons here.

Other surf beaches in the area include Middle Beach, just 20 minutes walk. The other nearby beach, Point Roadknight, is good for families when patrolled as well as for beach cricket and bodysurfers.

Anglesea Fishing

There are a number of great places for fishing here, not only at the ocean beach, but in boats and on the river. You will need a fishing licence, available in town.
