Victoria Surf Coast

The Surf Coast of Victoria has some of Australia’s best surf beaches, wonderful resort towns, lush rainforests and great scenery. There are also dramatic waterfalls, great walks taking in the magnificent coast and a rich hinterland.

The limestone bedrock of the Surf Coast has contributed greatly to a rising wine industry. With over 20 vineyards and eight wineries, some of them started in the 19th century, there are award winning wines being produced here on a yearly basis.

Food and Wine Trail

In the hinterlands of the Great Otway, there is a food and wine trail that takes you to places so you can sample the fine produce of the region. Berry picking, from Nov to April, allows you to sample delicious berries, some of the regional wineries have restaurants, you can buy locally produced olive oils and wines. There are thriving restaurants from Geelong to Apollo Bay for you to try, they invariably use the freshest of seafood caught just off the coast as well as other local produce to make everything from lush Italian to Asian to Australian fare.
