Alpine Resort of Mt Buller

As a premier alpine resort, Mt Buller offers a range of activities and experiences for those looking for a day away from their skis. Snowtubing: Mt Buller’s snowtubing park offers a fun snowplay experience for the whole family. Free with any lift ticket, snowtubing involves sitting or lying on an inflated rubber tube that spins down the channels of the snowtubing park. Mt Buller’s snowtube park is located near the top of Horse Hill chairlift.

Getting to Mt Buller Alpine Resort

Location - Mt Buller Alpine Resort lies approximately 248 kilometres northeast of Melbourne; 772 kilometres (10 hours drive) from Sydney; 900 kilometres (10 hours drive) from Adelaide; and a five-hour flight/drive from Brisbane.

Getting there - Snowfields at Mt Buller are very accessible, a pleasant three-hour drive from Melbourne taking either the Hume Highway or the Melba Highway through the beautiful Yarra Valley.

Altitude - Mt Buller’s summit rises to an altitude of 1,804 metres above sea level. The Mt Buller Village stands tall at a height of 1,600 metres.

Skiing statistics - Mt Buller reaches a snow making coverage of 74 hectares and 18 kilometres of resort trails through the use of cutting edge snow-making technology. Slopes at Mt Buller vary from gentle and groomed to fast and steep.

Mt Buller offers 263 hectares of ski area, including three fully-designed and maintained Terrain Parks, earthframed half pipe, and a dedicated rail park. The longest ski run at Mt Buller is 2.5 kilometres with an average snowfall of 1.5 metres.
