Melbourne Australia Arts Centre

One the great performing arts centres in Australia, the Melbourne Arts Centre hosts operas, ballet, musicals and symphony performances. The main building with the spire is the Theatres building, where dramatic performances are held on a regular basis.

Next to the main building is Hamer Hall, next to the Yarra River. The Sidney Myer Music Bowl, located in the Kings Domain across St Kilda Road is also part of the Arts Centre. There are guided tours available of the buildings of the Melbourne Arts Centre, phone +061 3 9281 8000.

Getting here - A few minutes walk from Flinders Street Station across the Princes Bridge, or take any tram (except tram no.1) along St Kilda Road (which is Swanston Street in the City) and disembark at the Arts Centre at Stop number 14.
