Melbourne Places - St Kilda Pier

North of Brighton and Elwood beaches on Port Phillip Bay and on the east of Hobsons Bay is St. Kilda Beach. It was one of the earliest seaside resort villages of Melbourne in the 19th Century.

Still easily accessible via a short tram ride from the city, its a favourite weekend destination for Melbourne-ites and overseas visitors.

The pier protects a boat marina and has a kiosk.

Getting to St Kilda Beach

Getting here is easy from the Melbourne CBD city centre, there are regular tram services from the Melbourne city centre - a short 20 minute tram ride that will take you past the beachfront.
