Unless your situated near Sydney Airport when you need to leave, or have a relatively long layover, you may wish to take the time for a tasty meal before your next departure time. Remember, though, to leave enough time for the security checks before your plane leaves.
The city centre itself is accessible by train (13 minutes travel time), where there are plenty of places to eat, or taxi or limo, though traffic can get quite heavy during rush hours.
Not far from Chinatown is Darling Harbour, you can catch a light rail from there direct to either place from Central Station and back again.
