Coogee Beach has certainly been a favourite place to visit for backpackers for a long time. A suburb of Sydney Australia, it started off as a sleepy fishing village till the population of the city expanded well past its boundaries.
Today, it is popular as ever as a Sydney beach suburb, with bars and restaurants to entertain in the evenings and night, while during the day visitors enjoying the sun and surf.
The Coogee SLSC provides patrolled sections of the beach during busy days for swimmers. Swim between the flags as the conditions of the beach and water change daily.
Along the east coast of Sydney, from Bondi Beach all the way south to Malabar Beach, and eventually beyond, there is the Eastern Beaches Walk. Stunning coastal and beach views can be experienced along the way.
