The market itself is a National Heritage Building, having been in existence for over 140 years.
Wednesday there is a night market, featuring street food from all over the world, as well as live music and other entertainment. Multicultural speciality shops complete the picture.
Nearby is String Bean Alley, here you can shop for books, arts and crafts, beauty products, chocolates and very fashionable jewellery.
