Places to Go

The Yarra River in Melbourne has always been a major attraction in itself since the city was formed. Along its banks here you can find Federation Square, Margaret Court Arena, the Rod Laver Arena, the Oval and the Olympic Park Oval. In the Queen Victoria Gardens and the King’s Domain there is the Shrine of Rememberance, Government House and the old Melbourne Observatory.

Another pleasant place to visit here are the Royal Botanic Gardens and the National Herbarium. Others worth mentioning are the Arts Centre and the NGV International, along St. Kilda Rd.

Royal Botanic Gardens

Located on Birdwood Ave in Melbourne, you can find them open at 7.30am to sunset, every day of the year. Botanic gardens has plants for the study of scientific, educative, conservation and aesthetic purposes.
