Parks and Reserves
The coastal Wyrrabalong National Park is just to the north as is the Wamberal Lagoon Nature Reserve, while to the south is Bouddi National Park. In the hinterlands is the Kincumba Mountain Reserve. The mountain rises more than 200 metres above seal level and has great views of the surrounding region. Covered by a rainforest, there are significant Aboriginal heritage sites dating back thousands of years within the reserve.
Beaches
The golden sandy beach at Avoca has long line of Norfolk Pines with grassy areas suitable for picnics and BBQ’s, andstretches for some 2000 metres. Located on Bulbararing Bay, the beach is backed by Bulbararing Lagoon and Avoca Lake, where you can rent boats.
The beach is patrolled by lifesavers by the Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club, located on the south side and the North Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club (Thanks, guys) during busy times, remember to swim between the flags.
Nearby beaches include MacMasters to the south, with Terrigal Beach to the north.
Golf
There are a total of 11 golf courses on the Central Coast. You will find plenty of challenges and chances to improve your game, all set in beautiful surroundings. See the Map.
Getting There
The drive from Sydney to the region is normally quick. Take the F3 expressway from North Sydney to Gosford. Take the Central Coast Highway to Avoca Drive (19 mins).
