The Entrance NSW

Central Coast: Map of the Central Coast.

Popular for its many lakes and coastal beaches, The Entrance sits on the ocean entrance edge of Tuggerah Lake at the end of a long peninsula. The region is known for its pristine scenery and natural beauty.

The town of The Entrance has all you need for a perfect holiday, a range of great restaurants and eateries, a whole host of accommodation types, plenty of activities and great beaches, including The Entrance Beach.

One of the very interesting attractions at The Entrance is the pelican feeding that takes places at 3.30 pm on the waterfront every day.

Beaches

The Entrance Beach is good for families, there are a couple of ocean baths suitable for children as well as Tuggerah Lake, away from the surf.

The very long ocean beach of Tuggerah Beach is at The Entrance North (of the bridge), while Blue Bay, Toowoon Bay and Shelly Beach are just to the south but still in town. Shelly Beach is backed by a golf course.

Shelly, Toowon and The Entrance beaches have Surf Life Saving Clubs and are patrolled with lifeguards on weekends and busy days, perfect for swimming and surfing. Bateau Beach is further south on the bay.

Tuggerah Lake

You may want to sail or hire a small power boat to cruise the waters of Tuggerah Lake, both catamarans and power boats are available for hire. You may also want to explore the lake via the 12km bike track, bicycles are also available for hire.

Every year, the Tuggerah Lakes Mardi Gras Parade and Festival is one of the most celebrated festivals on the Central Coast.

Golf
