Coffs and the surrounding region has spectacular rainforests in national parks. There are a number of beautiful islands just off the New South Wales coast. Combined with the beaches, nightlife and shopping, it is easy to see why this area has so much appeal for visitors.
Coffs has claims to the best weather in Australia. This part of the New South Wales Coast is a great base to explore the many historic townships, go fishing, laze on the beach, and savour some mouth watering dishes at the many restaurants that have sprung up in the region.
Note: Seasons in Australia are reversed to the Northern Hemisphere - i.e. Winter is June to August with spring in September to November, Summer is December to February. Australia has a temperate climate, with over 340 sunny days per year. Summer can have strong sunny days so wear a hat and sunscreen between 10am and 3pm (when outdoors!). Summer average temperature 22 Celsius, Winter avg. temperature 13 Celsius.
