Great Barrier Reef Australia

The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Queensland Australia has numerous islands to vacation at, each with their own charms. Laze on the reef’s tropical islands on secluded beaches backed by pristine rainforests and blue and turquoise ocean.

The Great Barrier Reef itself is a breathtaking marine environment, here you can dive amongst brilliantly coloured corals and fish. There are more than 2000 recorded fish species living here and countless other types of life, including invertebrates, crustaceans, sea grasses and algea. Birdlife here along the coast and on the islands is also colourful and diverse.

Protected by the Great Barrier Reef Park, this region attracts divers from all over the world. Snorkelling can be just as fun as can exploring the reef and islands, sailing and boating. Other activities are also popular, parasailing, skydiving, just about anything you can imagine with water of course and last but not least, lazing on the beach, going for a picnic walk or staying in and being pampered.

Great Barrier Reef Islands
