A place to go for history lovers, the State Library of NSW has interesting cultural and historical displays, including the early colony of New South Wales. It is also a world class archive for information about early Sydney and convict life as well as the exploration and development of the state.
The State Library complex consists of two buildings. In the older Mitchell Library, connected by a walkway from the main building you can view unique and changing collections of manuscripts and artefacts as well as art, photography and of course, books.
