South Coast of New South Wales NSW

South of Sydney, starting from Wollongong along the NSW coast to the border of Victoria, you will find beautiful beaches, charming fishing villages and tranquil settings.

National Parks, including Buddaroo, Moreton, Budawant, Mungo and the South East Forests NP (see the map) back the coast while parks like the Booderee NP, Jervis Bay NP and Murramang protect the coastline. You can visit these parks, visitor centres provide information about walks, places to visit, campsites, the work they do and facilities available.

In the small fishing villages and towns along the coastal route, there is ample opportunity to sample the wines and other produce from this region. Seafood you can find fresh of course, there are some great restaurants to try and even the fish and chips takeway seem to taste better on the South Coast.

Snowy Mountains

The Snowy Mountains are but 3 hours drive west from the South Coast. In winter, there are snowfields, skiing and about every other snow sport available. The rest of the year, the Snowy Mountains wilderness regions offer great fishing, white water rafting, stunning alpine scenery and beautiful national parks.
