This stunning coastal National Park in South Australia has islands, sand dunes, native wildlife and plenty of activities for the visitor and camper. Boating, fishing, beachcombing, swimming, birdwatching and nature walks are all available here, in surroundings that will leave life long memories.

The native animals and birdlife are extremely diverse in this coastal environment, from sea-lions and fur seals to more than 100 species of birds. Whales can be seen cruising the waters offshore, as are dolphins. Kangaroos, Emus, lizards and snakes can also be spotted.

Grand ocean vistas, beautiful beaches, nature sightseeing, photography, exploring by 4WD, hiking the trails and seeing Australian animals in their native habitat are the main attractions here.

4WD

4WDs with high wheel clearance are neccessary for most of the rest of the Coffin Bay Peninsula. You will need to bring plenty of water, fuel and food.

Walking Trails

There are walking trails that cover much of the park, a number of them following old vehicle tracks, the beaches are also a pleasant walking experience. Please notify someone reliable if your going on extended walks with the expected time of your return. Weather can change quite quickly here, bring wet weather gear.
