The Otways National Park and the surrounds of Aireys Inlet on the Victoria Surf Coast has stunning scenery, charming towns and historic places to explore. At the Split Point Lighthouse, pictured in the photo, there is a historical trail that takes you through hectares of heathlands and the Great Otway National Park.
Horseback riding is available along the many trails of the Park and along the beach. There are also many other trails suitable for bushwalking in the area.
Surf Beaches found here include Moggs Creek and Fairhaven, located just further along the Great Ocean Road. Patrolled beaches, those with lifeguards, include Fairhaven and Anglesea.
There are a number of great places for fishing here, not only at the ocean beach, but in boats and on the river. You will need a fishing licence, available in town at places including petrol stations and convenience stores.
Along the Great Ocean Road You can find budget to luxury places to stay: resorts and hotels to beach cabins.
