Bourke Street

Bourke Street, one of Melbourne’s shopping precincts, is in the heart of the Melbourne City central business district. Much of this Melbourne street is a shopping mall, great for picking up bargains of all kinds of things including fashion, accessories and jewellery for both men and women.

Running from east to west on the Hoddle Grid, the wide street is a good example of the early planning by the city’s founders. The Royal Arcade is located here with its Gog and Magog time clock, as well as other major Melbourne landmarks, from Parliament House on the east end to Victoria Point, on the Docklands end of the street.
