Prahran Melbourne Australia

Prahran - Melbourne Australia suburb near South Yarra, Toorak and St Kilda East. Shopping is good here and Prahran is also regarded as a major entertainment area.

There are a number of interesting major buildings that are architecturally significant that still survive here, including the the Prahran Market, Read’s Emporium (now Pran Central), the Prahran Town Hall, the 1880s Gothic buildings on High St and the Prahran Court House. There are others, making it a distinct suburb of Melbourne.

Some say elite, but for a visit, quite enjoyable for those who love great cafés, bars, shopping in speciality shops, fashion, accessories and the dynamic cosmopolitan and historical atmosphere.

It is quite easy to get to via trams or trains from the city, or for those more adventurous, a walk through the botanic gardens and/or past the War Memorial in the Kings Domain, down Domain Rd to Toorak Rd see the South Yarra, Prahran Market, Prahan Train Station on the Map Melbourne Australia Map - showing location of City Attractions. The yellow stripes areas show the best areas for shopping.
