Queensland in the North East is famed for many islands, beaches and wonderful scenery.

In the hinterlands, you can explore the Eungella National Park, with its Hatton Gorge. Mackay is a beautiful coastal country town surrounded by canefields with the Capricorn Coast to the East.
The Whitsunday Islands, a group of islands off the QLD Coast are largely under national park protection, you can stay at a number of them but numbers are limited. Cruising the Whitsundays is another way to enjoy this pristine subtropical getaway.
