On the East Coast of Victoria, Gippsland is a region of natural beauty and coastal wilderness. Gippsland is gourmet country, and at the Australian mainland’s southernmost point is Wilsons Promontory National Park. Vineyards are spread throughout the vast Gippsland area and their wines are making headlines with powerful Chardonnays and exceptional Pinot Noirs.

Gippsland is also the centre of dairy production in Victoria and green farm produce like fruit, vegetables, flowers, wine and livestock. The area has become renowned for its wonderful range of cheeses.
There are a number of wineries located here - Gippsland is home to more than 30 wineries. Here is a short list of some of the more notable ones: Signature wine styles found in the region: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but there are others that are beginning to grow in popularity.
Of the growing variety of grape styles: Traminer, Cabernets, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Rose and Ports.

Wa-Da-Lock Cellar Door is located on the Princes Highway in Stratford. Dining: Snacks, platters, light lunches specialising in local produce. Cellar door sales: 10am - 6pm Thurs - Tues. Closed Wed.
This is a haven for tourists and visitors to Lakes Entrance. You can take a boat trip right to the winery departing from the local Visitor Information Centre.
Dining: Henry’s Winery Café adjoining the tasting room provides lunch and morning tea seven days. Dinner available Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Cellar door sales: 9am - 5pm daily.
