Located just north of the town of Mollymook NSW, Narrawallee Beach is next to the Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve, seen in the distance. Narrawallee Beach is on to the left of Preservation Rock in the centre of the picture. To the right, in the distance, is the Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve with its 5km beach, backed by coastal dunes and forests. Formally created in 1986, Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve protects the wetlands, native animals, birds, marine life and flora of Pattimores Lagoon. The reserve extends north west all the way to Conjola National Park. At Narrawallee there are two beaches to enjoy with picnic areas. There are also lookouts which show the coastline in all its glory. Nearby Ulladulla NSW, just to the south, there are nearby lakes, rivers, beaches and a safe harbour - making the Mollymook - Milton - Narrawallee area a great place for a fishing holiday. South Coast National ParksThe South Coast of NSW has numerous national parks worth exploring, stretching all the way from the Snowy Mountains in the west to the coast, and from the Victorian border to the Illawarra region, just south of Sydney. For those seeking nature in the Shoalhaven, Morton National Park, Pigeon House Mountain and Conjola National Park have walks, bird watching and other wildlife. Just north of Tathra is the spectacular Mimosa National Park. Secluded beaches with sandstone and lava headlands mark the ocean shores, while lagoons and inlets pocket the forests. You can go boating or canoeing on some of the lakes, the beaches have surf and there are places with calmer waters for swimming. Aboriginals HabitationAboriginals have inhabited this region for many thousands of years. You can find traces of this earlier habitation - middens and other signs, please respect them. Also, please leave nothing but footprints on the splendid pristine beaches here and in National Parks and reserves.
