Adelaide has a great café culture, a great range of restaurants, plenty of pubs, churches, arts, culture and entertainment. A city of contrasts.
Originally designed by Colonel William Light in 1836, the inner city center is neatly laid on a grid with wide streets and architecture dating back to the colonial days. Surrounding this centre, are parklands.
The weather in Adelaide is decidedly Mediterranean most of the year. The city celebrates with events and festivals the year round.

Note: Seasons in Australia are reversed to the Northern Hemisphere - i.e. Winter is June to August with spring in September to November, Summer is December to February. Australia has a temperate climate, with over 340 sunny days per year. Summer can have strong sunny days so wear a hat and sunscreen between 10am and 3pm (when outdoors!). Summer average temperature 22 Celsius, Winter avg. temperature 13 Celsius.
