South Western Australia has extensive National Parks alongside the Southern Ocean, the coast offers world class surf, including Ocean Beach at Denmark.
Albany, located on the south east tip of the southern most part of WA, was the state’s main port till Fremantle took over, there is plenty of history to explore here. It played a role as a whaling centre in the early 19th Century - At Cheyne beach, there is the largest whale museum in the world, Whale World. Whales can still be seen offshore during their migrations.
Esperance can lay claim to some of the most gorgeous beaches to be found in Australia.
