Tasmania Gordon River

Tasmania, located south of the Australian continent is a wonderful place for adventure, trekking and exploring pristine environments. Natural parks and reserves, some of them World Heritage Areas, cover more than a third of the state.

You can explore the Parks and natural areas of Tasmania in a variety of ways. Tasmania is famous for its hiking and trekking but there are scenic drives, river cruises, kayaking and adventure tours. Seaplane tours give you an awe-inspiring birds eye view, you can even go ballooning. On the Franklin River and the Collingwood River, you can even go white water rafting, through pristine areas very few walkers have been.

Tasmania also produces most of its food, giving you a chance to try food at its freshest, the island state is famed for its seafoods.

Gordon River

The beautiful Tasmanian World Heritage Gordon River, from Macquarie Harbour to the Vale Of Rasselas is explorable by Seaplane.

At Strahan, being the gateway to World Heritage Wilderness Area, there are river cruises up the Gordon River, as well as tours and historic train rides. See Strahan and the World Heritage Wilderness Area on the west coast:
