The Royal Arcade in Melbourne is situated with two main entries, one on Bourke Street Mall and the other on Little Collins St. In the heart of Melbourne’s shopping precinct, its elegant design makes it a Melbourne landmark.
The arcade was designed by Charles Webb and opened in 1869. Covered by glass, the shops with their large windows and the decorative interior all lend to an old world atmosphere.
There is plenty of fashion here to try, delicious chocolates to sample, exotic teas to be experienced and bargains that tempt even the most spend-thrift conservatives.
