A number of cheap hotels in Sydney can be found scattered throughout the city, including pubs. Most of the Sydney pub hotels offer budget accommodation.
Sydney lodging other than hotels and pubs, include motels, inns and backpacker hostels to suit your taste and budget. A good variety of them are located in places like Darlinghurst, East Sydney, Woolloomooloo and Kings Cross. All within walking distance of the city centre, with Kings Cross having the convenience of a train station link to the city.
Sydney city hotels include the Sydney Westin, the Sydney Boulevard Hotel and many others. The City Center (CBD) is filled with things to do and see both at night and during the day. Take a Sydney harbour cruise from Circular Quay. Sample some great Asian food in Chinatown, explore the early history of Australia at The Rocks, tour the Sydney Opera House and climb Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Darling Harbour has attractions and museums like The Powerhouse Museum, the Australian Maritime Museum, the Sydney Aquarium and the Wildlife Center, all within easy reach. To get there: Take the ferry from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour, or catch the Monorail from the city.
It is also an easy walk from the city via the Pyrmont Bridge at the end of Market Street. Another way of getting there would be to catch a train or bus to Central Railway station, then take the light rail to Darling Harbour.

The Rocks Historical District, at the foot of the city by Circular Quay, has cobbled streets, museums, shops, art galleries and restored buildings from the early 19th century.

Sydney Harbour Bridge is a short walk away, with the Sydney Opera House located just on the other side of Sydney Cove.
