There are free tours of this historic building. Government House, commanding amazing views of the city and its harbour, occupies the prime piece of real estate that Sydney has to offer.
Located opposite The Rocks and on the hill behind the Sydney Opera House, the views from the garden along the harbour and out to the heads alone are worth the visit. Visiting hours are most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and Public Holidays with the exception of Good Friday and Christmas Day (10:30 am to 3:00 pm).
Built in 1845, Customs House in Sydney was used to control the flow of goods for over 150 years.

Art Gallery of New South Wales
Located in Sydney Australia, the Art Gallery of New South Wales has extensive collections of traditional indigenous heritage artworks as well as paintings, sculpture from other Australian artists. Also wonderful collections of Asian and Pacific Art and other changing exhibits from all over the world, from the famous to contemporary.

At Manly, located to the north of Sydney Harbour, has a number of interesting coastal walks, not only along the beachfront and further north, but also along the harbour foreshore. Enjoy great views of not only of the beaches stretching northwards on the coast, but also views from North Head or a harbourside beach.
